Dacia Logan Cup "We are looking for drivers": finalists

"We are looking for drivers" campaign organized by Bucharest Ring and ProSport newspaper for the "Dacia Logan Cup" event of Bucharest City Challenge 2008 was closed yesterday, August 5th 2008, with a final competition between three finalists.

The Amckart Karting circuit in Tunari was the place where the three competitors, Adela Bozdoc, Carmen Poenaru and Valentin Lungu, matched their strengths in three tests. Beside the time obtained by the drivers, important for the professional jury were also the skill and strength of the competitors. The jury was composed of Ioan Olaru, ACR Sporting Director, Calin Herascu, ACR Karting Deputy Director, and Cabral, Acasa TV star.

The first test that the drivers had to pass was slalom between cones with a Dacia Logan Cup Car; the main criteria were the time obtained and the number of cones touched. The second test was a speed test, the best lap time obtained by the drivers after five laps was taken in consideration. Finally the drivers had to race side by side in 6,5 hp karts.

The fight was close, in the end the first two finalists gathered each 26 points. The two drivers that will compete in a Dacia Logan Cup car during Bucharest City Challenge 2008 are Carmen Poenaru and Valentin Lungu.

Between 11th and 13th August 2008, the two drivers will go with Roxana Ciuhulescu to Oschersleben in Germany where they will obtain the national driving license.
