Quotes after qualifying - GT1

After qualifying at the Hungaroring, the fastest three drivers from the GT1 and the GT2 category and the fastest driver from the G2 class arrived in the media centre to tell about their achievements. Here is what they had to say.

Alex Müller - Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12 - 1st place GT1: "The last three races, it went well in qualifying, so hopefully, we have a little bit more luck to finish the race in a proper way. Spa was a disappointing, retiring while in the lead, but this can happen. Here, the performance is very good, we worked very hard for a qualiying set-up. Qualifying is very important here as it is very difficult to overtake. We have a strong and consistent car which makes us quite confident for tomorrow. I ran all practice sessions with a full fuel load and now I did without, which made a big difference. I must apologize to Bertolini, I didn‚Äôt see him and got in his way while he was on another flying lap."

Karl Wendlinger - K plus K Motorsport Saleen S7 - 2nd place GT1: "Things have been going very well. We have been competitive all weekend long. The car is fasyt and consistent and Ryan is quick as well. Hopefully, we will be strong in the race. Our car is always a potentially winning car, so we can be winners here as well."

Enrique Bernoldi - Sangari Team Brazil Corvette Z06 - 3rd place GT1: "I enjoy racing in FIA GT a lot. I have been competitive from the moment I stepped into the car for the first time at Spa. Here, I stepped into the car and was fast straight away. I am sure that we have a competitive car. I rather concentrated on qualifying while Roberto concentrated on the race. The second race of my life and I am on the second row again, so I hope to make it through to the finish."
