Two Porsche 911 with the branding of City Challenge have won the last Weekend at the Porsche Carrera World Cup at the Nordschleife of the Nürnburgring. (23.6. -25.6.2011). At this prestige race event, in the pre-programm of this 39th ADAC Zurich 24h Race, Lance David Arnold made the 3rd place with his City Challenge Porsche in the startfield of 100 Porsche 911 GT3-Cup-Cars. Timo Rumpfkeil, who with his team was responsible for the success of the 911 Lance David Arnold, took himself the volant after being 10 years absent and won the race of the previous Cup-Generation with his City Challenge Porsche.

The City Challenge Gmbh with his Headquarter in Berlin is specialized in the organisation of motorsport events in combination with arts & entertainment festivals within city environments. In the last years the City Challenge GmbH has staged succesfully events with the name CityChallenge in the capitals of Rumania, Bucharest, as well as on the Hungaroring near the Ungarian city Budapest. „Unfortunately due to political changes we couldn’t stage another event there“, says Hartmut Beyer, CEO of  the City Challenge GmbH.

„But we have great interest worldwide in our concept of combining motorsport with arts & entertainment. We are in negotiation with different cities, and it sounds all very promising. Countries in which City Challenges are planned are Bulgaria, Ukraine and Southafrica. Hartmut Beyer congratulates the drivers Lance David Arnold und Timo Rumpfkeil to the victory of the two City Challenge Porsche at the Porsche Carrera World Cup. „Excellent what you have achieved. Under difficult circumstances, you have driven an excellent race. City Challenge named twice at the award ceremony, was a fantastic moment“, says Hartmut Beyer.
