Among numerous high-level companies from Berlin, the City Challenge also presented itself for the first time at the most recent Hoffest in Berlin, the annual reception hosted by the capital's mayor.

In summery temperatures, some 3,000 guests from political, industrial and cultural organisations followed the invitation of the mayor and came to the Rotes Rathaus, the famous town hall in Berlin.

For mayor Klaus Wowereit and his guests, the Hoffest provided a varied programme with performances on various stages. Companies and organisations from Berlin presented themselves in numerous stands. The City Challenge, that has its head office in Berlin, obviously had to be there, too, said City Challenge C.E.O. Hartmut Beyer.

The official City Challenge VIP Race Shuttle, a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in race version, was a real eye-catcher at the Hoffest. Guests were also able to get an impression of the fascination of racing in the city by means of a simulator. Mayor Wowereit expressed his interest, too. Of course, staging a race in the city of Berlin is still a dream for us, but there are also numerous further possibilities and contacts, said Hartmut Beyer.
